Q: Do you charge for set up time?
A: No! All prices quoted for events are strictly music playing time.
Q: Do you require a deposit, and how are you paid?
A: To lock in a firm date, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is due at the start of the performance. Cash or check only, please – we are not equipped to handle credit cards.
Q: How early will you arrive before my event to set up?
A: Under most circumstances, we will arrive 45 minutes to an hour before the event. This will allow for plenty of time to set up the equipment and do a sound check.
Q: Do you take song requests?
A: Yes, song requests are always welcome from party holders or guests. The only way we would not play a requested song is if the client has put that song on a DO NOT PLAY list.
Q: Can I bring my own music to be played at the event?
A: Yes, if there is any music that you want played out of your personal collection, Digital DJ will be glad to do it for you. We can play music from any source, whether it be a CD, iPod, or thumb drive.
Q: Is your equipment good quality?
A: Yes, all speakers are either Mackie or JBL with crown amplifiers, and our light show is composed of American DJ products featuring high quality LED lights, strobe, and fog effects.
Q: How will the DJ dress for my event?
A: We dress to fit the occasion of all events. If the event is a wedding, the DJ will wear a suit. If the event is a small casual party, the DJ will come dressed in khaki shorts and company shirt or polo.
Q: If some equipment fails, do you have adequate back-up sound?
A: Yes, in the unlikely event that some of our main equipment should have a problem, we come prepared with back-up equipment on hand.
Q: Will you meet with the client before the event?
A: Absolutely! Digital DJ will do anything to make an event run more smoothly and satisfy the client. Meeting with the DJ before the event is a great way to make sure you get everything you want for an event, and is highly recommended (but not required).
Q: Can we make announcements over your sound system?
A: Yes, a wireless microphone is brought to all events. The DJ can make announcements, dedicate songs, and entertain the crowd with a wireless microphone. Also, the party holders may use the microphone if they wish to do so.
Q: Do you have a light show available?
A: Yes, the full light show is included in all events when appropriate. Check out the website for photos from previous bookings. For outside events during the daylight hours, the lights will not be set up due to the fact that you wouldn't be able to see them!
